Bells

about

Post holiday blues: Being somewhat of a gloomy toon and given it's name and leitmotiv, "Bells" seems to fit well with the melancholia that shortly settles in while dealing with the winter-holidays aftermath.
Nevertheless it is still meant as standalone (yet not lonely!) song. The bells are supposed to represent some of the most important highlights in one's life, wether they are meaningful experiences or different stages of one's relationship in which one is involved in.

lyrics

Bells

You already know how this is gonna end, trying to keep ourselves from falling apart
You know this is gonna go bad if we forget how far we’ve come and where we started (from)
From where I stand looks like we’re moving to the next stage
Alarms are starting to ring
Will this be our coming of age
Rip the bandaid off we can take the sting

What you say be it as it may
Though we might fail love will still prevail
Our own cliché won't be that mundane
If we stumble now we'll get back on our feet again

You know how this will go down in the blaze of our glory days
We don't know how soon we'll be found we'll just have to get used to being chased
From all those voices that keep telling us to go ahead and show each other our fangs
What are we to do instead
Bite the bullet we’ll go out with a bang

What you say be it as it may
Though we might fail love will still prevail
Our own cliché won't be that mundane
If we stumble now we'll get back on our feet again

And never will reopen any of the well packed bags
Because I know better than not to mind all those raised red flags
We’re like night and day, night and day I’m wearing off in a blurry haze
Night and day, night and day I wear myself out as i make haste
I won’t let it go to waste

(So much for our peaceful days)

What you say be it as it may
Though we might fail love will still prevail
Our own cliché won't be that mundane
If we stumble now we'll get back on our feet again
